The series goes behind the scenes at the famous ‘Sklif’, the principal Moscow emergency care hospital. There, time is of the essence, as the’Sklif’ is all about emergency surgery. Saving a life requires that an immediate, on-the-spot decision be taken. The charismatic surgeon Bragin is an emergency care ace, and besides his professionalism, he is also an inveterate womaniser. Dealing with life and death on a daily basis, Bragin long ago abandoned all pretence of sentimentality and he does not care about other people’s feelings, while only the ‘grand passions’ amuse him.
