Newlyweds Vera and Roman, orphanage pupils in the past, start to live as a family. Vera is expecting a child and the future parents are full of bright hopes. However instead of a fairy tale about a strong family, Vera is forced to play the role of a ‘strong woman’ and to drag all the hardships on her shoulders. When Roman gets in prison, Vera decides to break up with him. Soon she gets married to another man she truly loves.
